The undefeated Oregon Ducks take on the Santa Clara Broncos, who are coming off a big win against Sonoma State. The match features Oregon head coach Joe Kerwin against his former assistant coach at NDNU, James Blocho. Its the packed in, early slide defense of Santa Clara against a full field ride by the Ducks and for awhile the Ducks offense is held down. After Santa Clara pulls to within three goals at 7-4 in the third, the Ducks go on to win convincingly 15 to 4 for their fifth win of the season.
Oregon Defeats CAL Lacrosse 2010
At the Pac-10 Shootout Oregons Lacrosse team wins convincingly against the CAL Bears. Oregons defense, rides and intensity disrupts the CAL offense and the Ducks win 14 to 7 in Seattle.
The CAL Bears lacrosse team got off to a fast start and after a shaky third quarter cruised to a solid victor over the UCSB Gauchos. After being edged out for the MCLA tournament last year, the Bears have a challenging schedule with lots of out of conference games. Sophomore attack Conner Thomas and junior middie Jared Brett both had 3 goals in the 10-6 win. CAL looks like a team on the rise.
